Car Loan Project is helping the next generation.
The Vauxhall Victor Owners Club, in conjunction with Project Manager Bob Wilkinson, and Peter James Insurance, is pleased to be able to offer to the Car Loan Project, our Vauxhall Victor, ‘Joanna’, bought new in 1960 by Ms Valerie Evans, and generously donated to the Club by her in 1994. The Car Loan Project is a scheme set up to encourage the next generation of classic car enthusiasts into the hobby by loaning out under-used cars to young borrowers – for free! The Club is delighted to join the Car Loan Project and is asking for interested borrowers to contact us as soon as possible. You should be a newcomer to the classic car scene; for insurance purposes, over the age of 25, and using the car for social, domestic and pleasure only (not commuting); be able to store the loan car under cover or preferably in a garage. In return for the free loan of the car you must be prepared to send frequent updates and photos of days out with the car, family, and friends. You will be responsible for routine servicing, MoT should it become due during the loan period, and insurance. (Peter James Insurance have offered a generous £100 voucher towards the cost of insurance with them). You must be able to attend the Gaydon Motor Museum in Warwickshire on 7th April 2018, where you can have a familiarisation session with the car before we hand it over in front of the classic car press. You must also be able to attend the National Vauxhall Rally at Market Harborough (in ‘Joanna’ of course!) on 14th and 15th July 2018. We are expecting a significant number of applications, so please put forward (briefly!) something about yourself and why we should loan our car to you for a year. Contact us as soon as possible by clicking on the ‘Contact’ tab on our homepage, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
