MBAXP ActiveX Read Write Sample (VB6, Excel,.NET)
MBAXP was born to write a single, self-explanatory sample that uses Modbus to communicate to the ADUMH and ADUMH PRO devices connected via the serial port (COM1) or TCP/IP connection.
The VBA Form demonstrates the Form with read and write tables that support reads and writes from a connected Modbus slave device.

1.What is the main function of MBAXP?
The main function of MBAXP is to provide a simple and convenient interface for accessing Modbus data in many applications.
Using this ActiveX component, you can perform a variety of different tasks, like getting temperature from a single Modbus slave device or setting/getting variables from it or doing control operations (such as send binary data, get binary data, toggle register, etc.) for data from several slaves.

2.What kind of device Modbus can be supported?
The Modbus slave device can be an RS-485 port or a TCP/IP port. The type of port depends on the network driver that you want to use. When you set up the port, you must specify if it is RTU or TCP/IP. The setting for each port can be done in the Options dialog. When a port is set as RTU, the active connection is always to the slave. If you set a port as TCP/IP and you can also use ASCII mode. The active connection may be one of the following:
