I’ve made this lovely piece for one of my clients, I hope you like it and perhaps it will inspire you to write your own poem.

This is the second of my “personalised” gifts. (The first was a piano for a grandson who turned out to be a pianist so he appreciated the gift) The letters for the poem you choose are hidden in the back of the figure, take the time to find them before you begin stitching.

This is a quick gift for a loved one, a birthday present, a housewarming gift or any other special occasion.

An ideal gift for either a male or a female, as the name of the recipient can be hidden in the back of the figure or you could add any other details you want for them. The key (along with the poem) is hidden in the figure – it is a great deal of fun for all ages.

The poem is printed on one side only of the main fabric, this is to provide privacy.

The body of the figure is made with recycled fabric which is dyed in ‘rich vibrant colours’. The verses and key are sewn on to this, the word ‘love’ is stitched in to the main fabric.

I have also added a tassel to the back of the figure for a touch of glamour and added a bow to the corner for a finishing touch.

The handwriting on the front of the verse is of a lovely lady – a true lover of romance and poetry.

All of the figures are stitched on an un-quilted basis, ensuring a finished piece that has plenty of movement. They are great for layering or adding to a quilt or cushion and can be easily removed if required.

Please note, the’snow’ design is a 40cm x 40cm design, the ‘Santa’ design is a 46cm x 46cm design.

Add your own name to this design and I’ll have your name and the poem printed on the back of the figure. I’ll then embroider this in the centre of the quilt for a lovely finishing touch.
